What is a Mansard loft conversion?

The Mansard loft has a roof design which was popularised in the early 17th century by François Mansart. It is characterized by a slope of 72° and dormer windows which come out of the slope. This type of architecture gives a lot of space to the new loft. It also offers a nice fresh canvas for extraordinary design where the imagination is the limit.

With a Mansard loft conversion, luminosity is the main feature. The front windows combined with the rear dormer windows will provide an impression of being in the sky. The rear dormer window can also be suitable for French doors or bifold window to have effect of immensity.
